Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Solo Interactive Studios website, forums, and companion launcher application (together, the "Service"), operated by Solo Interactive Studios ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account — we don't currently offer a verified parental-consent process, so accounts under 13 aren't permitted. If you're under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.
Some content on the Service may be classified 18+ under Australian classification law and may require age verification before you can access it, in line with applicable law in your region.
2. Your Account
One account per person. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. The email and display name you provide must be accurate, and you can update them at any time from Account → Profile.
Display names and status messages may not impersonate staff, moderators, or official channels — accounts attempting this are blocked automatically.
You can review and manage your active sessions and connected game logins at any time from Account → Privacy & data.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure — including attempted SQL injection, script injection, or similar attacks.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, in the forums, in direct messages, or anywhere else on the Service.
- Post or transmit content that is illegal, infringing, or that you don't have the rights to share.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service outside of the officially provided game client integrations.
- Circumvent a suspension, ban, or content restriction by creating a new account.
4. Automated Security Monitoring
We use an automated system (internally called CERBERUS) to detect abusive or malicious input across the Service — for example, attempted SQL injection or script injection in forms, messages, and posts. Depending on severity:
- Suspicious input may be blocked outright.
- An account may be automatically suspended.
- An account may be placed under closer automated monitoring for a period of time, which can include logging IP address and site activity, so we can review patterns of behavior and respond to abuse, Terms violations, or valid legal requests.
If your account is suspended and you believe it was in error, you can submit an appeal from the suspended-account screen — we review appeals and reinstate accounts suspended by mistake.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you post (reviews, forum posts, messages, display name, status). By posting it, you grant us a license to store, display, and transmit it as needed to operate the Service — for example, showing your review on a product page, or delivering your message to the friend you sent it to. We may remove content, or restrict or suspend the account that posted it, if it violates these Terms.
Direct messages are delivered only to the friend you send them to and are not end-to-end encrypted; as with all content on the Service, message text passes through the automated security monitoring described in Section 4.
If you believe we're using your work without permission, or want to know how we handle content submitted to us, see our Copyright & Fan Content Policy.
6. Purchases, Licenses & Refunds
Adding a game to your cart and checking out issues you a license and adds the game to your library. At this time, checkout does not involve real payment processing — no charge is currently made.
Once paid purchases are enabled, the following refund policy will apply:
- If you haven't launched the game, you can request a refund any time within 1 year of purchase.
- If you have launched the game, you have 72 hours from the time of purchase to request a refund.
- Refund requests are made by contacting us and are reviewed and approved individually by Solo Interactive Studios.
- We reserve the right to deny a refund request that appears abusive or made in bad faith.
7. Forums
Access to the forums requires a separate approval step and may be revoked by moderators for violations of these Terms or forum-specific community guidelines. Reported content is reviewed by staff.
8. Dedicated Servers & Game Client
If you play a game that uses our dedicated server or launcher integration, a separate game login token is issued to that game client, distinct from your web session. You can review and revoke active game logins from Account → Privacy & data at any time; revoking one signs that game client out immediately.
9. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, including via the automated moderation described in Section 4, or the copyright enforcement described in our Copyright & Fan Content Policy. You may also close your account at any time by contacting us.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solo Interactive Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia and New Zealand. Any dispute, claim, or legal proceeding arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be handled exclusively in the courts of Australia or New Zealand, with no exceptions. If you're located outside Australia or New Zealand, you're responsible for your own costs — including travel — associated with participating in those proceedings.
